Aid Worth EUR 125,000

Bayer Helps Victims of Natural Disasters in Indonesia and the Philippines

Leverkusen.  In response to the emergency situation caused by the recent natural disasters in Indonesia and the Philippines, Bayer is providing immediate aid worth EUR 125,000. "We want to do our part in helping to alleviate the distress of the people, and in particular reduce the health hazards," said Marcus Yim, Senior Bayer Representative for the south ASEAN country group.

To this end Bayer is supplying not only financial assistance, but also urgently needed medicines and products for the control of insects that transmit tropical diseases. The company is also putting together a financial assistance plan for affected employees. As an expression of solidarity, Bayer employees in the country group are also contributing financially to the donations.
