Generating Interest and a Deeper Understanding of Science among Children

In an effort to increase science literacy, Bayer launched the educational program "Making Science Make Sense" for elementary school students in Japan in 2002. As a part of this program, we started “Waku-Waku Jikken Bikkuri-bako,” a hands-on, inquiry-based science program in 2003. Under this program, Group employees volunteer to visit elementary schools to conduct science experiment classes.
From 2008, we have extended this program by producing and distributing science experiment kits that allow parents and children to experience the wonders of science together at home.
